May 2011 Sports shed painted at Idle Primary School. Bradford July 2011 140ft of mural was commissioned by Hookstone Primary School, Harrogate to go around their school hall. School Hall. | Creative Arts Day based on the theme of ' Time, Space and Communication'. A full day of Art, Drama and Music workshops for over 270 pupils. Pupils created the set, drama and sound track for a final show which was performed at the end of the day for pupils and parents. I ran a printmaking workshop for a Young Bereavement peoples Group. An open workshop were children of all ages and parents painted huge tulips on MDF panels for a whole day. This was part of the gardens way of celebrating International Tulip Day. 'Time, Space and Communication' day at a Special Needs school for 35 6th formers and Year 9 pupils. A series of in house workshops for the 90 pupils at this school. Here pupils designed their own mural based on teh theme of' Memorable Moments ' at school. This design is being painted by the pupils and myself on to MDF panels which will all around the border of the school hall. Star walls mural painting in just two and half days for a little boys bedroom in Harrogate. Plus a Football mural painted for his brother. This commission will involve a week of workshops at half term where local primary children plus pupils from a local school for the deaf, will help in the painting and designing of the 12ft x 10ft mural to go in the entrance of the shop. An old metal storage shed was repainted and butterflies were cut out of ply wood and painted by the pupils and attached to the shed. Large figures of children playing were cut out of Marine plywood, painted and attached to the shed. 300 pupils and staff helped design and paint their own mural for their school hall based on their favourite things about school. |
